Kalorikoll is a local-first calorie diary for Android, available on Google Play. It requires neither an account nor a dedicated server: the food diary, profile, goals, weight logs, favourites, custom foods and recipes are stored on the device and remain available offline.
The app brings food logging and nutrition tracking together in a fast everyday workflow. Users can record meals, weights and portion sizes, scan barcodes, track their weight, and create custom foods and recipes with calculated nutrition per 100 grams and per serving.
The nutrition overview covers calories and macronutrients as well as fibre, sugars, saturated fat, salt, vitamins and minerals. Users can review averages over 7, 30 or 90 days, one year or all recorded time. History and charts show changes in nutrition and weight, along with the foods contributing most to individual vitamins and minerals.
A central part of the project is its extensive offline search. The app includes official food databases from Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark and the United Kingdom. A local subset of Open Food Facts also covers products in the Nordic countries and the UK; optional online search is used only when initiated by the user.
Kalorikoll is available in Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian, Danish, Icelandic and English. Users retain control of their data through ZIP export with CSV files, JSON backups and manual restore. The project demonstrates my approach to Android applications where privacy, offline support, localisation and practical user flows are central to the architecture.
