DayLore is an interactive web app for exploring the story behind a date. Users choose a year, month and day and receive a curated view of historical events, notable people born on that date, music released around the same time and facts about the date itself.
Choosing a city also reveals historical weather for that place and date. The app combines content from several external data sources, including Wikipedia, MusicBrainz and Open-Meteo, and presents it in one cohesive editorial interface.
A central challenge in the project was making a large amount of external data easy to scan. The result uses clear sections, strong typography, a consistent visual hierarchy and a responsive layout designed for both mobile devices and larger screens.
Users can select interesting facts and turn them into a ready-made greeting or message. The project demonstrates how I work with API integrations, data-driven interfaces and product design to make complex information accessible and engaging.
